Honey of the Heart

Internationally acclaimed touring musician Justin Ancheta is a guitarist, vocalist, multi instrumentalist, joined forces with Maren Metke, who is a vocalist, songwriter and instrumentalist performing across the US and India. Both strong composers & performers, they tour as a duo as well as full band.

Inspired by the gift of presence and connecting to the sweet moments in life, Justin and Maren formed the group Honey of the Heart to inspire and connect people with their voices, melodies and rhythms from around the world. Based in Northern California with strong roots in the Bay Area, Sierra Foothills and Seattle, The group released their premier studio full length album that combines talented musicians from across California. The new album gets as intimate as just vocals and Ukulele, to as large as a twelve-piece band with a horn section, multiple percussionists, and a turntable. Their live shows emote a sweet nectar of sounds that can bring people to personal revelation, community awareness, and uplift the power of joy in our hearts.

They tour often, including their young daughter Juniper, and combine their work as parents, educators, and musicians, embodying a humanistic approach to navigating life, loss, joy, and matters of the heart. They tour regularly, visiting as many hot springs, intentional communities and conscious, inclusive festivals as possible. Their workshops and classes focus on play & unity through music improv, cultivating the self, community, family and skill sharing using Maren and Justin’s combined tools in NVC, Neural Linguistics (NLP), Circling, Environmentalism, and Musicality. They currenty worldschool part of the year with many other families and musicians.
